19.14 Additional efficiency information

In this section, we review additional techniques that compilers can use to generate code that obeys the Dylan execution model, but is more efficient than a straightforward implementation of that model might suggest. Knowing about these techniques can help you to evaluate different vendors' compilers. You will have to consult the documentation of your particular implementation to discover whether or not these techniques are used.
