6.9.2 Starting an interactive session with an application

The simplest way to start interacting with an application is to choose Application > Interact or click the interact toolbar button (). This starts the application if necessary, and then pauses it.

If the application was started afresh, the pause occurs at the same point as it would with Application > Debug (see "Debugging executables" on page 107). Otherwise the application is paused in its current state. A debugger window then opens on the paused thread.
