cpage points out that MakeDataExecutable() could be used on OS X instead
of explicitly using the various flush instructions.

Of course this applies to PowerPC only ... x86 doesn't need anything as Intel
has always maintained compatability with historical self-modifying code.

We do need to make it work on OS X Intel though :-)
