Yeah, as a defnese against buffer overflow attacks.  But only on the stack?

It would sure be ironic if Intel went to all that trouble (that Moto and IBM
didn't, in either 68k or PPC) to make self-modifying code "just work" all these
years, and then it got taken away because of C arrays...
