Best resolution is to add more specific methods than
subtype?(<limited-collection-type>, <type>) that recognize that a limited
collection can be subtype of a type-union.
Also, add methods to DFMC so that compile-time congruency checking against
generics specialized on type-union(<limited-collection-type>, ...) works.
