I was talking about what people do with glib beyond GTK.  I used to hang
around with Gimp developers, and you wouldn't believe.

Anyways: GTK is a pretty static target, so what you suggest is
reasonable.  But you might want to leave the general signal-connect call
around somewhere in case somebody needs it. :)
