Anyway, I agree with everything you're saying and the real question is
how do we come to a consensus?  How about we send an email to this
list with all the naming suggestions so far and everyone gets to rank
their top two choices?  Give it a week or two for answers to trickle
in, and then take the winner.  Have we tried this already?

I volunteer to compile the list of suggestions from the IRC logs, but
I'll only collect what I consider to be serious ones.  Then I can send
an initial message to this list asking if I left out anyone's
favorites before the voting begins.

What say you all?  I'd love to put this issue to bed for a while.
